Terms of service
If you have any questions about these Terms of Service, please contact us at care@woodworm.in or via Contact Form
Introduction
These terms govern your use of woodworm.in (the "Website"), operated by House of Woodworm, a brand of Shri Shyam Trading Company, a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ("House of Woodworm", "we", "us", "our"). By using this Website you accept these terms in full. We may revise them from time to time; the current version always applies, so please review this page periodically. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the Website.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Website. By using it, you confirm that you are. We may grant, refuse, or terminate access at our discretion.
About Our Products
House of Woodworm designs, makes, and sells handcrafted solid-wood furniture. We are the seller of the products listed on this Website. Because every piece is handmade from natural materials and is largely made to order, minor variations in grain, colour, and finish are normal and are not defects. Product images are for representation only; the actual product may vary slightly due to lighting and screen calibration.
Intellectual Property & Use of the Website
Unless otherwise stated, House of Woodworm and/or its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Website and its content. You may view, cache, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Without our written consent you must not republish, sell, rent, sub-license, reproduce, or commercially exploit any material, remove proprietary notices, or use iframes or screen-scrapers on the Website.
Acceptable Use
You must not use the Website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, or that impairs its availability. You must not transmit malware, conduct automated data collection (scraping, mining, harvesting, framing) without our written consent, send unsolicited commercial communications, or attempt unauthorised access to our systems.
Accounts & Passwords
If we issue you a user ID and password, you are responsible for keeping them confidential. We may disable them at our discretion where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
User Content
"Your content" means any material you submit to the Website. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute it in connection with our business. Your content must be lawful and must not infringe any third party's rights. We may edit or remove submitted content at our discretion.
Orders, Payment & Cancellation
- We accept online payment by debit card, credit card, and net banking. As all products are made to order, we do not offer Cash on Delivery.
- Part-payment by bank transfer (available to all customers): You may choose to pay a 50% advance via direct bank transfer to confirm your order and begin production, with the remaining 50% due before dispatch, after we share photos and videos of your finished product. Select Bank Transfer at checkout to use this option; our bank details are shared once the order is placed.
- Cancellation: You may cancel within 24 hours of placing an order (applicable payment-gateway charges will be deducted from the refund). Once manufacturing begins, the order cannot be cancelled.
Delivery
We ship across India free of charge, typically dispatching within 5–6 weeks of order confirmation. Lead times vary with workload and season, and the estimated timeline applicable to your order is shown during checkout. Delivery depends on third-party logistics and may be affected by weather, transport disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control; we will keep you updated. For non-serviceable PIN codes where we agree to deliver, transport and installation costs are borne by the customer in advance and the product is not covered under warranty.
Damage, Defects & Warranty
- Inspect your product on delivery. If it is damaged in transit or has a manufacturing defect, email care@woodworm.in with photographic evidence within 24 hours of delivery.
- We will assess and respond within 2 business days, then repair or replace the affected product or part at no cost. (Damage cases are resolved by repair or replacement, not refund.)
- Warranty: transit-damage protection; a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects (paint chipping, joints opening, warping); and a 3-year warranty against termite damage. Damage from mishandling or rough usage is not covered.
- To claim warranty service, the customer packs the product(s) at their own resources; we then arrange a free reverse pickup, or the customer may send the product(s) to our manufacturing unit themselves.
- Once a product is delivered and inspected, we are not liable for damage from misuse or mishandling.
